TWI understands that the recent voiding of PCN certification from NDT International has caused concern for individuals and companies. Withdrawn PCN certificates may threaten an individual's employment or prevent delivery of manufactured products. TWI is making resources available to support affected companies and individuals.
For those individuals seeking to regain valid PCN certificates, TWI is offering fully approved PCN examinations according to the PCN guidance for individuals with void NDT International examinations.
TWI provides CSWIP examinations for those companies and individuals who would prefer to gain CSWIP NDT certificates (CSWIP NDT certificates are in full accordance with ISO 9712 requirements and accredited by UKAS for international recognition, www.cswip.com).
TWI is offering three routes for individuals with void NDT certificates to enter examination:
- Use the eLearning refresher training for PAUT, TOFD, and UT (Levels 1 and 2) and then sit the examination. The advantages of the eLearning route are that you can complete this in your own time and at your own pace. You will have 14 days from the date of registering your login to complete the eLearning course.
- Take classroom-based refresher training at a TWI centre before taking the examination.
- Sit the examination only
